Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2025-12-06
This Privacy Policy explains how Surveyi (“Surveyi,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you use our website, applications, and services (the “Service”). If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, please do not use the Service.
This Privacy Policy does not replace any data processing agreement (“DPA”) or similar contract you may have with us for business use. Where a Customer (your company/organization) uses Surveyi to collect responses from end users (“Respondents”), the Customer typically controls that survey data, and Surveyi processes it on the Customer’s behalf.
1. Who this policy applies to
This policy applies to (a) visitors to our website, (b) users who create or manage Surveyi accounts (“Customers”), and (c) individuals who respond to surveys delivered through Surveyi (“Respondents”), to the extent we handle their information.
2. Information we collect
a. Information you provide
- Account info (e.g., name, email, password/credentials, organization name).
- Billing info (handled by our payment processor; we typically receive limited information like billing status, plan, and payment method metadata).
- Support communications (messages you send us, form submissions, bug reports).
- Survey content you create (campaign names, questions, follow-up prompts, configurations).
b. Survey response information (Respondents)
When Respondents answer surveys, Surveyi may process survey responses and related metadata. Depending on how the Customer configures surveys, this may include:
- Response content (ratings, text responses, selections).
- Timestamps and session identifiers.
- Optional contextual fields a Customer requests (e.g., location/site label, order reference, department).
- Device/technical data needed to deliver surveys reliably (e.g., basic device/browser info, IP address in server logs).
c. Automatically collected information (website/app usage)
- Log data (IP address, timestamps, pages viewed, referring URLs).
- Cookie/local storage data (see Cookies section below).
- Performance and diagnostic data (crash logs, error traces).
d. Sensitive information
Surveyi is not intended for collecting sensitive personal information (such as health data, payment card numbers, government IDs, or precise geolocation), unless you have obtained all legally required consents and are permitted to do so. Please do not submit sensitive information to Surveyi unless you understand and accept the compliance requirements in your jurisdiction.
3. How we use information
We use information to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Service.
- Authenticate users and secure accounts.
- Process subscriptions and manage billing status.
- Generate analytics, summaries, scores, and alerts you request.
- Respond to support requests and communicate service updates.
- Prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
- Improve the Service (performance, reliability, UX).
4. AI/analytics features and “derived” data
Surveyi may generate derived outputs from survey activity, such as sentiment scores, themes, summaries, clusters, or escalation indicators. These outputs are created to help Customers interpret feedback and take action. Customers are responsible for how they use these insights and for ensuring they have appropriate notices/consents for Respondents where required by law.
5. How we share information
We do not sell personal information. We may share information in these situations:
- With service providers that help us run Surveyi (e.g., hosting, databases, email delivery, analytics, payment processing). They are permitted to process data only to provide services to us.
- With the Customer who sent a survey when you are a Respondent (e.g., your responses and associated metadata appear in the Customer’s dashboard).
- For legal and safety reasons (to comply with law, enforce our agreements, protect rights/safety, and investigate abuse).
- Business changes (merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets; we may disclose/transfer information as part of that transaction).
6. Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies (like local storage) to keep you signed in, remember preferences, understand product usage, and improve reliability. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Some features may not work properly without cookies.
7. Data retention
We retain information only as long as needed to provide the Service and for legitimate business purposes (e.g., security, dispute resolution, compliance). Customers may be able to delete certain data from within the Service. We may retain limited records as required by law or for legitimate security and audit purposes.
8. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. However, no system is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of data transmitted or stored in the Service.
9. International data transfers
If you access Surveyi from outside the United States, your information may be processed in the United States and other locations where our service providers operate. Where required, we take steps designed to support lawful transfers.
10. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or object to certain processing of your information. You can also typically update account information within Surveyi.
If you are a Respondent, your request may need to be directed to the Customer who sent you the survey, since they control that data in many cases.
11. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date and may provide additional notice (such as in-app notice or email) where appropriate. Your continued use of Surveyi after an update means you accept the revised policy.
